Elden J. "Buddy" Authement Jr., 42, a native of Houma and a resident of Bourg, 
died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Chauvin. A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his mother, Gloria LeBlanc; two sisters, Susan Doss and 
husband, Kevin, and Sheila Naquin and husband, Bobby; four nieces, Stephanie 
Martin, Lauren Martin, Krista Hebert and Haley Geist; step-nieces and nephew, 
Amber Naquin and Aileen Naquin and Isaac Naquin; great-niece and great-nephew, 
Isabella Chauvin and Cole Martin; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elden Authement Sr.; his grandparents, 
Wiltz Authement and Annie Trahan, and James LeBlanc and Agnes LeBlanc; and one 
niece, Brittany Authement.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
