Harris Paul Blanchard Sr., 93, a native of Labadieville and a resident of 
Thibodaux, died Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred T. Blanchard; one son, Harris P. Blanchard 
Jr.; six daughters, Betty Arceneaux and husband, Robert, Jeanette Maronge and 
husband, Larry, Anna Mae Robichaux and husband, Michael, Bessie Danos and 
husband, Jay, Merry Arceneaux and husband, Kenneth, and Jolly Thibodeaux; 18 
grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Ponvelle Blanchard; his 
parents, Cleveland Blanchard and Louise Aucoin Blanchard; two brothers, Burton 
Gaudet and Warren Blanchard; and two sisters, Lois B. Aysenne and Elise B. 
Richard.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
