Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2010/f1008.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Sidney "BaeBae" Paul Bourgeois, 87, a native of Raceland and a long-time resident of Orleans and St. Bernard parishes, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette. A Funeral Mass will be held at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. He is survived by his best friend and beloved wife of 65 years, Angelina Colombo; two children, Brenda Schouest and husband, Craig, and Judy Mangiapane and husband, Frank; proud grandfather of Kimberly DeRouen and husband, Michael, Kadee Burkhardt and husband, Justin, Jill Organo and husband, Troy, and Hope Mangiapane; great-grandfather of his namesake little princess, Sydney, and princes, Nicco and Giovanni; and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Villery Bourgeois and Maggie Daigle; and siblings, Henry "LeeLee", Hyman "Kanan", Villery Jr. "Bell", Willie and Louise Bourgeois. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who proudly served his country during World War II. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends who he had touched in some way throughout his life. Following his military service to our country, Sidney worked as an insignia painter and retired from Todd Shipyard in Algiers. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved his country and treasured his family.
