Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. today at the St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, with burial at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Bourg. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 32 years, Regina Rembert Bueche; his mother, Sue Reynaud Bueche; four children, Jeremy Bueche, Jeffery Bueche and wife, Melanie Duplantis Bueche, Justin Bueche, and Jacob Bueche; one granddaughter, Hyleigh Renee Bueche; four brothers, Mark Bueche, Joe Bueche, Willard Bueche and wife, Rebecca Boudreaux Bueche, and Richard Bueche and wife, Joanna Salmon Bueche; three sisters, Stella Bueche Helluin and husband, Jay, Cindy Bueche Ward, and Laura Bueche Nelson and husband, William; his father-in- law, Keneth Rembert and wife, Annette; his in-laws, Cindy Rembert Price and Bill, Rachel Rembert Hoglind and Mike, and Lee Rembert; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Frances Kenton Bueche; his mother-in- law, Judy LeBlanc Rembert; and his grandparents, Lawrence and Stella Jackson Bueche, and Ellis and Hilda Thomas Reynaud. James was a man with many passions, some of which included long visits with family and friends, manicuring his yard, in particular, his live oak trees, riding the roads with his wife and brother on their Harleys, and working on continual projects around the house. He had a breadth and depth of knowledge that spanned a variety of subjects. James could talk to anyone about virtually anything and he did so with enthusiasm seldom seen. He worked as an Instrument and Electrical Technician at Monsanto Corporation, where he made many wonderful friends. The love and compassion of his family and friends made dealing with his illness manageable. Knowing the toll that his cancer would take on his beloved wife, Regina, and his family, much of his time since his diagnosis was spent enjoying their company. Although he was taken from us much too soon, his love for life will live on in those who loved him. He left a legacy of a life well lived. He will be missed. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ===================
