Ronald "Slicker" Chiasson, 66, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 3:30 
p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Samart-Mothe Funeral 
Home in Raceland. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Pat L. Chiasson; three sons, Wayne 
Savoie and wife, Tess, Joey Savoie and wife, Jennifer and Chris Savoie and wife, 
Wendy; three daughters, Kristie C. Curole and husband, Frank, Kim Daniels and 
husband, Kent, and Lisa Keller and husband, Tony; two brothers, Warren Chiasson 
Jr. and Gerald "Red" Chiasson; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren "Guy" and Georgina Chiasson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant E-6, three Bronze Medals, 
Vietnam veteran, Commendation Medal and two Air Medals.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
