Jeanette Fanguy Cologne, 73, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of 
Raceland, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from 10 
a.m. to funeral time today at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. 
Mass will be held at 1 p.m. today at the church, with interment in the church 
cemetery.

She is survived by four children, Barry Cologne Sr. and wife, Ruth, Henry 
Cologne and wife, Chrissy, Lisa Douglas and companion, Calvin Sapia, and Bonnie 
Cologne; four siblings, Jimmy Fanguy, Genevieve Cologne, Mary Jane Chauvin and 
Martha Eusea; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Cologne Jr.; and her 
parents, James Fanguy Sr. and Sadia P. Fanguy.

She was a member of St. Gertrude Ladies Altar Society, an avid supporter of the 
Louisiana Catfish Festival and a 2008 Grand Marshall of the Des Allemands 
parade.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
