Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Joseph Crochet of Houma; five daughters, Janice Robichaux Schexnayder and late husband, Barney Robichaux of Houma, Rhondalyn Crochet Caro of Houma, Connie Crochet and significant other, Floyd Bonvillain of Houma, Laurell Crochet Couvillier and husband, Charles Sr. of Houma, and Karen Crochet Breaux and husband, Thomas of Houma; one brother, Earl Chauvin and wife, Ruth of Chauvin; three sisters, Lois Chauvin Crochet and husband, Miller of Chauvin, Rheta Chauvin Ledet and late husband, Regis Ledet of Houma, and Elphie Chauvin Savoie and late husband, Neuves Savoie; 10 grandchildren, Chad J. Robichaux, Tanya L. LeBoeuf, Angelle C. Thibodeaux, Cherise N. Caro, April L. Hargroves, Andrea L. Vance, Anita L. Blanchard, Alisha L. Blanchard, Brittany P. Breaux and Lauren A. Breaux; seven great- grandchildren, Hunter Moore, Chloe Robichaux, Cameron Thibodeaux, Evan Thibodeaux, Landen Hargroves, Laiken Hargroves and Samantha Vance; three step- grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey Arnold Chauvin Sr. and Minnie LeBlanc Chauvin; one brother, Lindsey Chauvin Jr.; and two half-sisters, Verdie Chauvin Peebles and Josephine Martin Stoufflet. She was employed by L.J. Crochet Towing Inc. and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a loyal and faithful wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. She was a homemaker with many talents and skills. Her interests included sewing, gardening, journalizing and writing prayers. She was a devout Christian who spent much time studying the Bible, praying and writing spiritual letters to family and friends. She loved to share the gospel, and always took an opportunity to witness for the Lord. She lived a life of integrity and taught her children the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her family cherishes the memories of her faithful love and the Christian values that she passed down to her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
