Geraldine Carlos Duet, 77, a native and resident of Chauvin and recent resident 
of Hazelhurst, Miss., died at 1:08 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Samart Funeral Home of 
Houma. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial 
at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.

She is survived by her husband, Noles C. Duet; two sons, Daniel P. Duet and 
wife, Elizabeth, and Jude J. Duet and wife, Katherine; one brother, Ferrel 
Carlos and wife, Linda Lou; one brother-in-law, Reggie Authement and Mable; one 
sister-in-law, JoAnn Carlos; seven grandchildren, Lance, Lee and wife, Sally, 
Stephen, Lainey and husband, Travis, Ryan and Beth, Zachary and Grant; and five 
great-grandchildren, Seth, Luke, Laci, Brad and Megan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bartholemew and Valerie Babin Carlos; 
two daughters, Marla A. and Johnette M. Duet; two brothers, Albon Carlos, and 
Harvey Pitre and wife, Thelma; and three sisters, Gail Carlos Authement, Mavis 
Pitre Charpentier and husband, Jean, and Merdeline Pitre LeBlanc and husband, 
Ruffin.

She was a member of St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society and VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 
Ward 7 Citizen Club, and Louisiana Cerebral Palsy Association.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
