Elvida Pitre Dufrene, 86, a native and resident of Cut Off, died Monday, Aug. 
16, 2010.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Samart-Mothe Funeral 
Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Robert Dufrene and wife, Carolyn; one daughter, 
Louis D. Terrebonne and husband, Willard; one sister, Nola P. Bruce; eight 
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Junius Dufrene; her 
parents, Fedless and Loridia Doucet Pitre; two sons, Roy Dufrene and Jimmy 
Dufrene Sr.; two brothers, Clifton "Cliff" Pitre and Jefferson "Jeff" Pitre; one 
sister, Willie Mae Duet; and two great-grandchildren.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
