Richard Paul Fitzgibbons, 34, a native of Abilene, Texas and a resident of 
Thibodaux, died at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home.

He is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Jessica Lynn Martin; his 
father, Donald Richard Fitzgibbons and stepmother, Doris Miller; his mother, 
Vicki McCaleb Wade and stepfather Gary Wade; one brother, David Earl 
Fitzgibbons; one sister, Katie Lee Fitzgibbons; one stepbrother, Tom Miller 
Hill; two nieces; one nephew; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Vivian McCaleb, and 
Muriel Fitzgibbons.

He worked as a dive supervisor for numerous companies. He graduated from Albany 
High School in 1994. Paul loved hunting, fishing and watersports. He enjoyed 
reading and spending time with his friends and their children. He was a rabid 
Dallas Cowboys fan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Council on Alcohol and Drugs, 
Inc., 233 Peachtree Street NE, Suite 2000 Atlanta, GA 30303-1564.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
