FORET, BARRY 

Barry S. Foret, 50, a native of Houma and resident of St. Amant, died at 1:30 
a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to funeral time Monday at Healing Place Church in 
St. Amant. Service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Braud Foret; his mother, Jean Boquet Foret of 
Houma; one daughter, Mary Allen; two sons, Tony Allen and Blake Foret; one 
sister, Melinda Foret Bench of Eugene, Ore.; one brother, Larry Foret and wife, 
Nancy of Houma; father-in-law, Wavell Braud, and mother-in-law, Lorraine Braud; 
two grandchildren, Trey Allen and Brittnee Foret; 12 nieces and nephews; two 
great-nephews; and his precious little dog, "Tippy."

He was preceded in death by his father, Abby Foret; paternal grandparents, 
Etienne and Santa Foret; and maternal grandparents, Carmen and Anne Boquet.

He was a very passionate woodworker, who also enjoyed antique and junk shopping, 
as well as barbequing with his family.

His family would like to express their appreciation to the special care given by 
Dr. Patrick Stag and staff with Medical Oncology.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Cancer 
Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, La., 70806, or 
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The Louisiana Chapter, 8738 Quarters Lake 
Road, Baton Rouge, La., 70809.

Church Funeral Services and Crematory in St. Amant is in charge of arrangements.
