Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery. She was survived by her husband of 71 years, Loris Gaspard; one son, Danny Gaspard and wife, Kate; two daughters, Jeanette G. Cheramie and Elaine G. Rodrigue and husband, Danny, all of Galliano; three brothers, Percy Guidry, Ulysses Guidry and James Guidry; four sisters, Joyce G. Gaspard, Glorine G. Pitre, Nancy G. Kiffe and Susie G. Eymard; seven grandchildren, Donna G. Billiot, Angela G. Matherne, Nina G. Blanchard, Cheryl and Mark Cheramie, Tommy Rodrigue and Amy R. Ashmun; and 13 great-grandchildren, Brittney and Kelsie Danos, Johnny Gaspard, Drey, Jordy, Kyler and Jo'Leigh Matherne, Beau and Nicholas Blanchard, Julie and Jake Diaz, Alaina Ashmun and Ross Rodrigue. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustave and Ophelia Griffin Guidry Sr.; one son-in-law, Gerald Cheramie; two brothers, Gustave Guidry Jr. and Dudley Guidry; and three sisters, Pearline G. Dietrich, Virgie G. Hymel and Gloria Ayo. She was a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow; ministered to the sick; and was godmother to four generations of the same family and five other godchildren. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in Charge of arrangements. ===================
