Evelyn Johnson, 77, a native of Labadieville and a resident of Thibodaux, died 
Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at West Thibodaux Bypass 
Church Of Christ in Thibodaux. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the 
church, with burial at St. Peter's Baptist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux. 

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Johnson of Thibodaux; four daughters, 
Helen Terry and husband, James, Kathy Johnson, Jacqueline Johnson, and Josephine 
Edmond and husband, Raymond, all of Thibodaux; one sister, Essie Mae Frank of 
Virginia; one brother, John Lestrick of California; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-
grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Vera Lestrick; five 
brothers; and five sisters.

She was a member of Church of Christ.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
