George "G.V." Keith, 91, a native of Hope, Ark., formerly of Crowley, and 
resident of Sulphur for the last 46 years, died at 12:34 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 
2010, in a local hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Mimosa Pines Cemetery 
South in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. 
The Rev. Don Walker will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today 
and from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his son, Dennis R. Keith and wife, Donna, of Sulphur; one 
brother, Sterling O. Keith of Arkansas; two grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia McCurry Keith; one brother, Phillip 
Keith; and one sister, Virginia Holmes.

He attended Olivet Baptist Church, and he was a World War II Navy veteran.

Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home (337) 625-9171 is in charge of
