Dan Evett Kirk, 75, a native of Benton, Miss., and a resident of New Orleans, 
died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at First Baptist 
Church in Schriever. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Harvey Kirk; one son, Envil Rene Lawhorn; 
four daughters, Sylvia Kirk, Pauline Kirk Joseph and husband, Charles, Sonja D. 
Kirk and Sheryl Harvey; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fluellen Kirk and Beatrice Moore Kirk; 
and two sisters, Elizabeth Kirk and Ruby Kirk.

He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a business owner of Dan's Auto 
Air.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
