Hugh "Whitey" Anthony Louviere, 80, a native of Humphreys and a resident of 
Houma, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Bernadette 
Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass will be held at noon Tuesday at the church, with 
burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Arceneaux Louviere, of Houma; two sons, Hugh 
Louviere Jr. and wife, Donnell Powel, of Houma, and Heath Louviere and wife, 
Cathy Breaux, of Houma; two daughters, Lydia L. Miller and husband, Mark, of 
Lake Charles, and Michelle L. Wheeler and husband, Robert, of Houma; two 
brothers, Herbert "Joker" Louviere and wife, Martha, of Houma and Jerome 
Louviere and wife, Gail, of Houma; two sisters, Ruth Foret and husband, Charles, 
of Gheens, and Barbara Romero of Houma; 12 grandchildren; and five great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Joseph Louviere and Bernice 
Hebert Louviere; and two brothers, Floyd Louviere and Ray Louviere.

He worked for REA Express for 21 years and retired from TRAPP Chevrolet after 25 
years. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
