A memorial service will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at New Life Fellowship Church, 1884 Bayou Blue Rd. in Houma. He is survived by his companion and caregiver, Brenda L. Pitre; his mother, Lena "Elouise" Rice Mayo; four sons, Donald and wife, Madeline, Jerry and wife, Christy, Kenneth and wife, Angel, and Darrin and wife, Yvonne; one daughter, Veronica Gold and husband, Micheal; 16 grandchildren, Coty, Taylor, Cody, Sean, Jonathon, Cierra, Milton, Patricia, Misty, Katline, Darrin Jr., Tate, Kaden, Alisha, Joanie and J.J.; six great-grandchildren, Cora Lynn, Devin, Caleb, Damian, Trevor and Taylor; three brothers, Charles, Douglas and Eric Mayo; and seven sisters, Paula Woodman, Debbie Coates, Donna Carter, Beverly Wallace, Brenda Mayo, Bonnie Gray and Pat Jordan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Perot Mayo; his father, Wesley Mayo; one daughter, Lisa Perot; and one granddaughter, Tanya Voisin.
