A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly Ministries, 3805 The Lords Way in Naples. She is survived by her husband, Tim McCarthy; one brother, David Gros; and one sister, Karen Gros. Kelly's family tree traces back more than 300 years in the United States. Enthusiastic about her Cajun heritage, she often enjoyed sharing information and stories about the unique food, music, traditions and culture of Southern Louisiana. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education at Nicholls State University and a Master of Arts from Florida Gulf Coast University. A devout Christian, Kelly shared her faith with all who would listen and introduced many to Christ. She also was a musician and artist. Kelly played French Horn and Trumpet as a member of her church praise team and wrote several worship songs. As an artist she enjoyed painting and photography. Her art was displayed nationally in various prestigious galleries and she has won several awards for her artwork. Kelly was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and friend.
