Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2010/f1008.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Jean "Jeanie Boy" Lawrence Orgeron, 63, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Thibodaux then Lafayette and most currently of Youngsville, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2010. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Martin and Castille Southside Funeral Home, 600 East Ferrel Road in Lafayette and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Youngsville. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church officiated by the Rev. Mouton. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux with graveside services conducted by the Rev. Ambrose Ayzinne. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Francine Krieg Orgeron; one son, Jean Lawrence Orgeron Jr. and wife, Caroline; one daughter, Donna O. Morgan and husband, Tim; three stepchildren, Jonathan, Jason Threaux and wife, Andrea, and Kathryn T. Shank and husband, Charlie; one sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" O. Gilfour and husband, Jerry; nine grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon J. and Salonge Pitre Orgeron; and one brother, the Rev. Willie Ray Orgeron. He was a 1965 graduate of Thibodaux Central Catholic High School and worked in the oil industry for more than 40 years, most recently as an independent oil consultant. Martin and Castille Funeral Home of Lafayette is in charge of arrangements. ===================
