Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Bright Morning Star First Baptist Church in Napoleonville. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, conducted by the Rev. Ronald Dorsey Sr., with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Naomi Plant of Labadieville; four sons, James Thomas of Sun City, Ariz., Eddie and Robert Patterson of Labadieville, and Harold Patterson of Gonzales; one son-in-law, Melvin Plant Sr.; four daughters- in-law, Rosemay Thomas, Doris, Joyce and Shirley Patterson; 32 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Etienne Patterson; her parents, Eddie Johnson and Corinne Williams; one daughter, Audrey Flemings; two sons, Charles and John L. Patterson; six stepchildren, Willard, Alvin, Francis, Eva, Enola and Beulah Patterson; three sisters, Rose King, Albertha Randle and Fannie McKinley; and a daughter-in-law, D'Audrey Patterson. She was a faithful member of Bright Morning Star First Baptist Church for 78 years. She served on the Usher Board for 36 years. Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville (985-369-7231) is in charge of arrangements. ===================
