Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Duplantis Pellegrin of Houma; two daughters, Dianna Gail P. Dutton and husband, Roy, of Houma, and Yvonne P. Tregre and husband, Woody, of Houma; three sons, Bruce "Beauty" Pellegrin Jr. and wife, Sandra, of Bourg, Ricky Pellegrin and wife, Caffie, of Bourg, and Brian Pellegrin and wife, Sonja, of Houma; 14 grandchildren, Zina Dion, Wayne Dutton, Gia Champagne, Crystal Arceneaux, Blane Pellegrin, Peggy Sue Dean, Nicole Peterson, April Foret, Chris Kuhn, Lani Pellegrin, Joshua Pellegrin, Taylor Pellegrin, Brandon Pellegrin and Brett Pellegrin; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Vergis Pellegrin and wife, Janet, of Houma, Levis "L.P." Pellegrin Jr. and wife, Billie, of Houma, and Terry Pellegrin and wife, Gail, of Houma; three sisters, Ruth Malbrough, Enid LeBlanc and husband, Morris, and Ismay "Blackie" Folse. He was preceded in death by his parents, Levis Pellegrin Sr. and Edna Boudreaux Pellegrin; one grandson, Roy Patrick Dutton; and one brother-in-law, O'Neal Malbrough Sr. He owned Pellegrin Brothers Trucking Service along with his brother, Vergis. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He served in the Army during World War II and received the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Ribbon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved working and helping people with boat motors and lawnmowers. He loved talking to his family and friends.
