Ernie Sons, 63, a native of Berwick and a resident of Gibson, died at 7:20 a.m. 
Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Samart Funeral Home 
of Houma. Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Bourliea Sons Rousseau and stepfather, 
Truman; one son, Sean Sons; four daughters, Shanie S. Gaudet and husband, 
Matthew, Sandy S. Richard and husband, Eric, Sharah Sons and Sasha Sons; one 
sister, Linda Sons Fast and husband, Stanley; eight grandchildren, Jolie and 
Gillian Gaudet, Meagan and Brittney Sons, Rachael Hosey, Justin Sons, Jude 
Fonseca and Bryson Boudreaux; and two great-grandchildren, Tristen Barilleaux 
and Isabella Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elwood Ernest Sons; and one brother, 
Ronald Sons.

Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
