Merrick "Big M" Vallian, 33, a native of Raceland and a resident of Larose, died 
at 8:10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church. Mass will be held at noon Friday at the church, with burial in 
the church cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, Julie Dantin; his mother, Barbara Ledet; one 
son, Breyden Whitney; four brothers, Gilbert, Edward, Patrick and Perry Vallian; 
and two sisters, Starlet Ledet and Katrina Vallian.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph "Pops" Vallian.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
