Alice Ledet Zernott, 101, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Mandeville, 
died at 12:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2010.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Genevieve Catholic 
Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with 
burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by two daughters, Marceline "Marcie" Rosenthal and husband, 
David, and Mary Gauthreaux and husband, Stephen; one brother, Wilton Paul Ledet; 
seven grandchildren, Tiki Petit, Lori Matherne, Heidi Matherne, Kristi Hymel, 
Stephanie Brandel, Edward Gauthreaux and Kim Zernott; and seven great-
grandchildren, Dustin and Allie Petit, Andie, Paige and Grace Matherne, and Seth 
and Ellie Hymel.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Hugh Zernott Sr.; her parents, 
Kelless Ledet and Eva Engeron Ledet; one son, Nelson Hugh Zernott Jr.; three 
brothers, Gillis Ledet, Howard Ledet and Nolan Ledet; and two sisters, Mabel 
Toups and Gloria Harrington.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
