Kawina Michael "Sleep" Allen, 40, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Houma, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at New Rising Sun 
Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Southdown Cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, Roxelle Verdin of Houma; father, Michael Allen 
Sr. of Houma; brothers, Shawn Allen and Michael Allen Jr. of Houma; and one 
sister, LaShonad Allen of Houma.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Johnell Johnson; and grandparents, Earl 
and Wildred Watson Johnson, Tang Sims, and Clifford and Lillie Mae Douglas.

Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
