Bernard Baker Jr., 29, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Schriever, 
died at 3:16 p.m. Saturday Jan. 26, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Magnolia United Methodist Church 
in Schriever. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday 
at the church. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Sims-Baker; his parents, Barbara and Bernard 
Baker Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Hazel Johnson; four daughters, Breontai 
and Brianna Baker and Samaya and Sha'kayla Sims; and three sisters, El'deltress 
Baker, Dina D. Baker and Brionne C. Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Louise McGee; his 
maternal grandfather, Dallas Sims; and his paternal grandfather, Nolan Baker.

Jones Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
