Carol Winton Berzas, Sr., 75, a native of Ville Platte and resident of Gray, 
died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

Services will be private.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janet M. Berzas; sons, Carol Berzas 
Jr., Gardnell Berzas and Thomas Berzas; brother, John Berzas Sr.; step-
daughters, Belinda Soderstrum and Sheila Pennison; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darius and Celizee Jeanise Berzas; 
brothers, Bruce and Ronald Berzas.

He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
