Edith Marie Naquin Blanchard, 89, a native of Montegut and a resident of Houma, 
died at 10:49 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation 
will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Our Lady of the Most Holy 
Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at 
the church, 

with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Blanchard of Houma, and Darrell Blanchard 
and wife, Joyce, of Houston, Texas; three grandsons, Todd Blanchard of Panama 
City Beach, Matthew Blanchard of Houma and Samuel Blanchard of Houston, Texas; 
two granddaughters, Alesha Poche of Houma, and Randi Blanchard of Houma; and 
five great-grandchildren, Devlin Blanchard, Megan Blanchard, Logan Olivier, 
Joshua Blanchard and Addison Clavier.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thaddeus Joseph 
Blanchard; parents, Claude J. Naquin and Frances Matherne Naquin; and brothers, 
Averal, Norman, Percy and Davis Naquin.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was a member of the American Legion Unit No. 0031. She was a loving wife, 
mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
