Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery in Thibodaux. He is survived by his five children, Edward R. Bouterie and wife, Connie, Paul F. Bouterie and wife, Karen, Rev. Thomas R. Bouterie, Beth B. Folse and husband, Peter, and James L. Bouterie; seven grandchildren, Angela B. Hillman and husband, Ben, Benjamin E. Bouterie, Lauren B. Beaudean and husband, Shane, Alison B. Matthews and husband, Merrick, Natalie L. Barbera and husband, Brian, Spencer T. Folse and Barry L. Bouterie; four great-grandchildren, Phillip C. Hillman II, Alyce E. Hillman, Caroline A. Beaudean and Brady J. Barbera; one sister, Anne "Sugie" Lewis and husband, William; and sister-in-law Mary Bouterie Breaux. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Gwen Hoffmann Bouterie; parents Oscar P. and Odessa Richard Bouterie and brother Richard Bouterie. The family would like to thank the employees of St. Joseph Manor and the many caregivers for their loving and loyal care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Food for the Poor.
