James "Jim" Boyd, 56, a native and resident of Houma, died Wednesday, Jan. 16,2013.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. A 
Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Boyd; children, Joanna Markey and husband, 
John, James Boyd II and wife, Raynee, Lorelei Stewart and husband, Bobby, David 
Boyd and wife, Jessica, Joshua Boyd and wife, Rachael, Paul Boyd and wife, 
Jenna, and Jessie Boyd; and 16 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David Boyd and Lorelei Stowers; and 
sons, Billy and Andy Stowers.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
