Bright, 77, a native of Coushatta and a resident of Raceland, passed away Friday Dec. 21, 2012. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Cherie C. Bright; his daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa B. Robinson and Jimmie, Laura B. Kopal and William, Gia D. Morris and Rob, Melody D. Bourg and Shannon, Maia Dufrene and Eric, and Lia Dufrene and Damian; grandchildren, Jennifer Poche, Margaret Paulsberg, Erin and Emily Kopal, Yancy, Jaclyn, and Hanna Morris, Jai Bourg, and Paige Gaubert; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Caroline Poche, and Viktoria and Dmitry Luca Paulsberg. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Bright and Maye Belle Sessions Bright; one brother, Walter Bright; and one nephew, Walter Glen Bright. He was retired from Avondale Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
