James Scott Broussard, 54, a native of Lafayette and a resident of Houma, died 
Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Samart Funeral Home 
in Houma. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with 

burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by his wife, Orlanda Champagne Broussard; brothers, Gary 
Broussard and Robert "Todd" Broussard; and sisters, Susan Diehl and Leslie 
Dumond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Florine and Alton Broussard.

He was a loving husband and family man. He was a graduate of LSU with a 
doctorate in law. He received a masters in business administration from NSU and 
an undergraduate in economics from NSU. He was an on-line Professor for Argosy 
University and Axia University.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
