She was a native of Dulac and a resident of Houma. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Vincent "CoCo" Chaisson and wife, Vera, and Danny Chaisson and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Charlene Giroir and husband, Rickey; sister, Gloria "Blackie" Benoit and husband, Melvin Benoit Sr,; brother, Jeffery Scott and wife, Linda Scott; seven grandchildren, Angie Giroir Falgout, Nicole Giroir Nettleton, Carl, Buddy, Kevin and Teddy Chaisson and Misty Chaisson Page; and seven great-grandchildren, Whitney Falgout, Chandler Falgout, Brylynn and Brenlee Chaisson, Natalie and Makenna Page, and Presley Nettleton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Chaisson; her parents, Vincent and Lorinna Scott; and one sister, Mercades Scott LeBlanc. She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church and the owner of Chaisson's Grocery and Supply. She was a former owner of the Bayou Resturant in Dulac. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ======================
