Mirabell C. Cheramie, 87, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away at 
5:56 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut 
Off. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the 
funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. 
Joseph Catholic Church, 

with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

She was survived by her son, John M. Cheramie; daughter, Jessica C. Kirkley and 
husband, Hoyt; brother, Kearn Chouest; sisters, Hazel C. Collins and Gayle C. 
Brister; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cheramie; parents, Eugene and 
Cherita Gisclair Chouest; son, Farrel Cheramie; daughter, Roxanne Cheramie; 
daughter-in-law, Nita Cheramie; and sisters, Anna C. Callais, Victoria C. 
Gisclair and Patsy C. Comeaux.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of arrangements.
