Rita Rena Cushing, 56, a native of Grand Bois and resident of Livingston, 
Tenn., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church in Bourg. 
Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at the church. 
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 

with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Muller and husband, Justin, Serena 
Kremenak and husband, Ben, Corona Scott and Priscilla Scott; stepsons, James 
Cushing and wife, Janine, and George Cushing; brothers, Alcee Billiot Jr. and 
wife, Linda, Willie Billiot and wife, Judy, Douglas Billiot and wife, Shelia, 
Danny Billiot, and Davy Billiot and wife, Ruth; sisters, Lou Ann Verdin and 
husband, Alton, Lori Dehart and husband, Marvin, and Susan Dominigue and 
husband, Tyrone; and 21 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sierra Fry; parents, Alcee 
Billiot Sr. and Mildred Billiot; brothers, Robin, Rusty, Donald and Dean 
Billiot; and sisters, Elsie and Melissa Billiot

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
