Ronald Ellender, 78, a native and resident of Montegut, died Friday, Jan. 18, 
2013.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Saturday at the Montegut fire 
station. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the fire 
station, 

with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Montegut.

He is survived by his brother, Davis Ellender; and sister, Joyce LePoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ralph Ellender and Marjorie 
Exnicious Ellender; brothers, Roy, Lloyd, Stephen and Bert Ellender; and 
sister, Ruby Portener.

Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
