Prudent Faucheaux Jr., 87, a native and lifelong resident of Thibodaux, died 
Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral in Thibodaux. A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, 

with burial in St. Joseph Co-Cathedral cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Hersey Faucheaux; two sons, Wayne P. Faucheaux 
and Byron P. Faucheaux and wife, Jackie; three daughters, Sherrill A. 
Faucheaux, Gwen Faucheaux Dufour and husband, Ron, and Dawn Faucheaux Matherne 
and husband, Jeff; one stepdaughter, Lisa Irvin and husband, Louis; five 
grandchildren; and two sisters, Suzie Faucheaux Toups and husband, Wilson, and 
Juliette Faucheaux Perkins and husband, Guy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Prudent Faucheaux Sr. and Inez 
Melancon Faucheaux; his first wife, Verna Hebert Faucheaux; his daughter, 
Bonita Mary Faucheaux; his in-laws, James W. Hebert and Edolia Roger Hebert, 
and John L. Hersey and Clara Viglione Hersey; his brothers, Norman P. Faucheux 
and wife, Peggy, Herman Faucheaux and wife, Joyce, Clay Faucheaux, Wilson 
Faucheaux and Nelson Faucheaux; and sister, Rose Faucheaux Hebert and husband, 
Calvin.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
