Irene Pitre Gros, 72, a resident of Labadieville, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at Landry's Funeral Home in 
Labadieville and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Philomena 
Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the 
church, with 

burial in St. Philomena Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Elvin J. Gros; seven children, 
Hilton, Donald, Eddie and wife, Jeanie, Elizabeth Andras and husband, Harold, 
Brad and wife, Donna, Crystal Bergeron and husband, Trinity and Cindy; 28 
grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alterine Sanchez and Verena 
Sanchez and husband, Valcour; four brothers, Hector Jr. and wife, Dorothy, 
Norris and wife, Raydell, Sherman and wife, Nancy and Leo Pitre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hector Sr. and Jeanne Rodrigue Pitre; 
son, Kevin Paul; grandson, Harold Andras III; daughter-in-law, Barbara Gros; 
brother-in-law, Alvin Sanchez; and four brothers, Hilton, Murphy, Louis and 
Lucien Pitre.

She was loved by many and will be sadly missed.

Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of the arrangements.
