Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Visitation will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in Chauvin. He is survived by his daughter, Tansey H. Leonard and husband, Robert "Moose"; daughter, Cassandra Young; son-in-law, Gary Howard; siblings, Aaron Hebert, Amos Hebert, Peter Hebert, Reis Hebert, Clara H. Neil and Wallace Hebert; grandchildren, Gil Howard, CW3 Caine Howard, Callie Howard, Kada Howard, Shannon H. Hudson, Shane Hebert, Jade L. LeBlanc, Dustin Leonard, Ross Leonard, Ronnie Young, Coty Young and Heather Young; and great-grandchildren, Casey Howard, Morgan Howard, Gracie Howard, Tyler Howard, Brian Howard, Julienne Howard, Connor Hudson, Keeley Hudson, Kylie Hudson, Morgan Hebert, Erin Hebert, Kristen Hebert, Tanner LeBlanc, Libby LeBlanc, Savannah Young, Ronnie Young Jr., Colby Young, Lilly Young, Shalea Young, Shae Young, Chazz Young and Aiden Young. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nelda Duplantis Hebert; parents, Henry Sr. and Julienne Duplantis Hebert; son, Lemuel Hebert; daughter, Melissa Hebert Howard; siblings, Lois Crochet, Frances Hebert, Ivy Hebert, Junius "Bud" Hebert, Russell "CoCo" Hebert, William Hebert, Maurice Hebert, Maria Hebert, Walter Hebert and Charles Ray Hebert. He was a World War II combat veteran serving proudly in the American Division 164th Infantry Company E in the Pacific Asiatic Theater, finishing his military career as part of the 1st calvary division as a military police officer. He retired with Texaco after 30 years as a lead carpenter in the Houma district. Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
