Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday the church, with burial in the Young Men's Benevolent Cemetery in Lafourche Crossing. He is survived by his brother, Henderson Kennedy Jr.; wife, Delores P. Kennedy; companion, Mona Sylvester; son, Columbus Dwayne (Clemence) Kennedy; uncle, George Allen; aunt, Gloria Walker; devoted grandson, Tevin Kennedy; longtime friend, Minnie Eley; devoted niece, Gail Bartholomew; stepchildren, Andre Wallace and Myia Sylvester; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Henderson Kennedy Sr. and RoseLee Allen Kennedy; brothers, Raymond Kennedy and William Kennedy; and sisters, Geraldine Robinson and Shirley Mae Kennedy. He was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church. He was a captain at the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office. He was a Worshipful Master with Empire Lodge No. 5, a member of Mt. Nebo Chapter Royal Arch Masons, a member of the Jesse M. William Lodge of Participation, a Sir Knight in Nazarene Commandery of The Knights Temple, a member of St. James Consistory, and a member of Etemenanki Temple Noble of the Mystic Shrine. He was elevated to the Sovereign Grand Inspector General of the 33 and last degree. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran. Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements. ======================
