Betty Lirette LaCoste, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013.

She was a native and resident of Theriot.

Visitation will be at Chauvin Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8 
a.m. until service time Tuesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday with 

interment at St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Malcolm LaCoste Sr.; children, 
Wanda Breaux and husband, Dickie, Donna Bernard and companion, Tony Verdin, 
Malcolm LaCoste, Jr. and wife, Angelia, Connie Verdin and husband, Timmy, and 
daughter-in-law, Phyllis LaCoste Chaisson; grandchildren, Shannon Munivez, 
Mariano Munivez II, Kristie Breaux, Hunter Breaux, Erica Skarke, Helena Marroy, 
Dwayne LaCoste Jr, Shalane LaCoste, Shaleigh LaCoste, Shante' LaCoste, Dane 
LaCoste, Daylan LaCoste, Sara Bernard, Daniel Bernard, Joshua LaCoste, Courtney 
LaCoste, Tyler Billiot, Malcolm LaCoste III, Christopher Verdin, Blaine Verdin 
and Matthew Verdin; great-grandchildren, Mia Le, Khiya Munivez, Cade Munivez, 
Kale Munivez, Ashton DeHart Jr, Erica Corteaux, Jaycee Courteaux, Alex 
Courteaux, Kaitlynn Skarke, Morgan Skarke, Mackenzie Marroy, Katelyn Marroy, 
Andrew Lodrigue, Brennan Lodrigue, Allianah Clay, Jai Clay, Madison Duplantis, 
Madelynn Duplantis, Hayden Duplantis, Branson LaCoste, Karsyn Moore, Brayden 
Verdin and Brianna Verdin; great-great-grandchildren, Ashlynn DeHart and 
Keithen Boudreaux; brothers, Paul and Theresa Lirette, Gary and Frances 
Lirette, Peter and Brenda Lirette, Jesse and Mercedes Lirette, Curtis and 
Wynona Lirette and Phillip Lirette; sisters, Brenda Liner and husband, Roger, 
Amanda Voisin and husband, Junior, Debra McCune, Trudy Fanguy, Rhonda Smith and 
husband, Edward; and sister-in-law, Pearly Mae Lirette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lirette Sr. and Leola DeHart 
Lirette; sons, Danny Joseph LaCoste and Dwayne Joseph LaCoste Sr.; brother, 
Robert Lirette Jr.; and sister, Judy Jane Lirette.

She was a devoted mother and loving wife. Words can not describe the joy Betty 
has brought into this world. She leaves behind a legacy filled with compassion, 
love and hope shared by her entire family. 
She was a parishioner of St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Theriot.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
