Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafourche/obits/dateobits/2013/f1301.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Morris Joseph LeBlanc, 81, of Houma, beloved husband, best friend and soulmate of Enid Pellegrin LeBlanc for 57 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved, on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Annunziata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery. Military honors by the United Veterans League will be at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Besides his wife, Enid, Morris is survived by his only son, Danny, and his wife, Theresa LeBlanc, of Houma; four daughters, Darnell Taylor of Houma, Lisa Belanger of Houma, Danita Olvera of Gonzales and Candace and her husband, Hunter Hebert of Houma; his wonderful and loving grandchildren, who adored and loved him unconditionally, Shantelle M. Gautreaux, Katie Matherne, Cecily Belanger, Nicholas "Nick" Belanger, Amber O. Levert, Bruno "Trey" Olvera III, Mason LeBlanc, Taylor Hebert, Austin Hebert and Jonathon Hebert; his only great-grandchild, Mia Claire Gautreaux; his step-grandchildren, Sherri B. Hernandez, Crystal O. Montalvo, Bridgette Robichaux and Skylar Robichaux; his brother, Reggie LeBlanc; sisters, Gloria Authement, Brenda Navarre and Mary Naquin; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louvenia Boudreaux LeBlanc; his father, James Williams LeBlanc; stepmother, Agnes Blanchard LeBlanc; brother, Norris LeBlanc; and step-grandson, Harlan F. Belanger Jr. Mr. LeBlanc was born in Chauvin but lived the majority of his life raising his loving family in Houma with his beautiful wife, Enid. He served four years in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Oak Hill (LSD 7) from 1951 until 1954. He worked for Texcaco, Inc., as a roughneck and roustabout and retired from there after 31 years of service. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Russell Henry and his staff for their diligence in providing the best possible care. The staff never gave up, and for that the family is truly grateful. They would also like to thank Terrebonne General Medical Center for their dedication and efforts to provide top quality care. It was a heartwarming blessing to the entire family. The family thanks God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time they spent with him.
