Sylvester Joseph Livas, 66, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Wednesday, 
Jan. 16, 2013.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Morning Star Baptist Church in 
Johnson Ridge, 

with burial in Livas Lane Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Onetta W. Livas; daughter, Sylnita Livas-Bougere; 
son, Rainier (Monique) Livas; sisters, Ruby (Joseph) Jackson and Brenda 
(Charles) Mathews; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Annie Livas; brother, 
David Livas; and sister, Gustavia (Sheila) Reed.

He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
