LODRIGUE, MELVINA (VERDIN) 

Melvina Verdin Lodrigue, 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of 
Dulac, died at 6:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation 
will also be from 8:30 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at Holy Family Catholic 
Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, 

with burial in Holy Family Catholic Church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Wilsey Lodrigue; sons, Jimmy 
Lodrigue and wife, Mona, Eugene Lodrigue and wife, Lydia, Adam Lodrigue and 
Angela, Duane Lodrigue and wife, Becky, and Kerry Lodrigue and wife, Dodie; 
daughters, Beverly Guidry and husband, Clarence, Debbie Verdin and husband, 
Ernest, and Judith Dion and husband, Mathil; brothers, Lawrence, John and 
Howard Verdin; sisters, Eva Cotton, Lillian Verret, Leah Couteau, Josephine 
Scott, Lona Verdin and Mona Liner; and numerous grandchildren and great-
grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Evans Verdin and Marie Francis 
Verdin; son, Wilsey Lodrigue Jr.; daughter, Julie Lodrigue; brothers, Pierre, 
Evans, Anthony, Cleveland, Wesley and John E. Verdin; and sisters, Lorena 
Pennino, Florence Trosclair and Louise Locabon.

She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
