Cyrus Marcel, 74, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gray, died at 12:18 
p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013.

Private services will be held by the family.

He is survived by his son, Rocky Marcel of Gray; daughter, Jennifer Marcel 
Goolsby and fiance, Dave Mercer of Houma; grandchildren, Melody Marcel 
Ferrufino and husband, Alvaro, Gavin Goolsby and Grayson Goolsby; great-
grandchild, Mia Ferrufino; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Usulien and Pearl Eschete Marcel; son, 
Tod Marcel, brothers, Collins, Arcen, Lucius and Vilred Marcel; and sisters, 
Garnet Brunette and Ociana Samanie.

He was employed by LA Mud/Hughes Drilling Fluids and was an avid fisherman.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
