Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Annunziata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Allen S. Marcel; children, Stephen Marcel and wife, Lorraine, of Houma, Alison Marcel Ricau and husband, Jackson, of Baton Rouge, Gilbert Marcel and wife, Peggy, of Houma, Patrick Marcel and wife, Jeanette, of Houma, Bennett Marcel and wife, Theresa, of Lafayette, and Amy Marcel Wood and husband, Paul, of Houma; grandchildren, Renee and husband, Shannon Kidder, Andre and husband, Jason Bankston, Jackson Ricau III, Jonathan Ricau, Ashlie and husband, Tony Martin, Gilbert Marcel Jr. and wife, Taren Marcel, Alexis Marcel, Barry Marcel, Alyssa Marcel, Emily Marcel, Christopher Wood and Joshua Wood; step-grandchildren, Jeremy and wife, Misty Cavalier, and Jennifer and husband, Faren Verdin; great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Riley, Cooper, Cody, Sophie, Olivia and Gage; and one sister, Gertrude Arceneaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Ambrose Bourgeois and Beulah Pennison Bourgeois; and brothers, Hughes Bourgeois and Herman Bourgeois. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She loved square dancing, round dancing and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Dr. Raul Doria, Dr. Ralph Bourgeois, Dr. Edgar Feinberg and Haydel Memorial Hospice. Special thanks to Patty Voss and Renee Rhodes for their loving care.
