She was a native of Raceland and a resident of New Orleans and Metairie for 71 years. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Houma. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. She is survived by her brother, Bobbie Dantin, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloysius Gonzaga Margiotta; parents, Wilfred Dantin and Celame Matherne Dantin; brothers, Jules Dantin and Bruce Dantin; sisters, Mabel Bourgeois, Vivian Adams, Clothilde Maureaux, Jeannette Daigle, Juliette Chaisson and Bernice Dantin. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . She was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. She was very active in the 250th Battalion Reunion Group as well as the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 6640, the Orleans Salon 8 and 40 Ladies Auxiliary, the Sheiks of Arabi Post No. 15 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 175 Ladies Unit. Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements. ======================
