Willard Clay Mitchell, 78, of Houma, formerly of Poplarville, Miss., died 
Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013 in the care of his family.

He was a retired construction superintendent and a member of New Bethel Baptist 
Church in Poplarville.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Lilly May Mitchell; eight 
brothers, William Mitchell, Harvey Mitchell, Riley Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, 
Ray Mitchell, Horace Mitchell, L.D. Mitchell, and David Mitchell; two sisters, 
Laura "Sis" Alexander and Mary Lou Penton; and two daughters-in-law, Marie 
Mitchell and Lois Mitchell.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jacqueline K. Mitchell; five sons, Billy 
Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, Gary (Debbie) Mitchell, Mark (Helen) Waltman, and 
Perry Boudwin Jr.; two daughters, Lydia (Ricky) Herndon and Nicole (Jesse) 
LeBoeuf; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon until funeral time Saturday at New Bethel Baptist 
Church in Poplarville, Miss. Friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony 
at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with 

burial following in New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery in Poplarville.

White Funeral Home in Poplarville is in charge of the arrangements.
