Mildred Parfait Parfait, 68, a native of Dulac and resident of Houma, died at 
7:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation 
will also be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic 
Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 

with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Cyrus P. Parfait; sons, Pernell "Tom" Parfait 
and wife, Stacie of Daphne, Ala., Cornell "Chris" Parfait and wife, Tammy, and 
Trenell "PeeWee" Parfait and wife, Shelby of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; daughters, 
Lynell "Tina" Parfait and Arnell "Nut" Carlos and husband, Eric; brothers, 
Antoine "T-Man" Parfait, Wilton "Pierre" Parfait and wife, Gwen, of Bush, and 
Michael Parfait; sisters, Mary Florence "Totoy" Solet and husband, Addie Sr., 
Marlene Verdin and husband, Roy, Rose Verdin and husband, Calvin Sr.; and Ruth 
"Youte" Carrere and husband, Arnold "Zip"; grandchildren, Lornell, Jessie, 
Alexander, Sarah, Samuel, Christopher and wife, Nicole, Dominick, Janell and 
Gavin Parfait, Kirstin Robin, Tamica Verdin and husband, Shane, Tristan, Jason 
and Stacie Rogers, Garrett and wife, Stacy, Lauren and Erin Carlos, and Sydney 
and Alisyn Parfait; and great-grandchildren, Madison DeHart, Kasey Chauvin, 
Shayne Verdin, Nicholas and Kameron Parfait and Braden and Zack Picou.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton Nore Parfait Sr. and Josephine 
Dion Parfait; brother, Joseph Milton Sr.; and infant brother, Elton Parfait.
She was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.

The family would like to express a sincere "thank you" to Dr. Jules Dupont, 
Julie Rhodes, Dr. Ralph Bourgeois, Dr. Chad Simon, Dr. David Pellegrin, Dr. 
Donald Gervais, Dr. Chris Cenac Jr. and Dr. Anil at C.I.S.
The family would also like to thank the ER and CCU doctors, nurses and staff, 
LTAC nurses and staff, Mr. Tilman Luke and Pulmonary Home Care staff, Amedysis 
Home Health Care nurses and staff, Bayou Home Care nurses and staff and Hospice 
of South Louisiana nurses and staff.
The family gives thanks to the Rev. Loloy, Holy Family Church, Our Lady of the 
Most Holy Rosary Church, relatives and friends who came to sit with her and 
anyone who was not mentioned.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
