He was a native and resident of Houma. Visitation will be from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Saturday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church cemetery. He is survived by his sons, Peter Pitre, Patrick Pitre and wife, Danah, and Phillip Pitre; daughter, Joyce Pitre; grandchildren, Jacob Pitre, April Pitre, Lindsey Pitre, Bryson Pitre, Bishop Pitre and Maximus Pitre; brothers, Robert Pitre and wife, Claudine, and Lanny Pitre; and sisters, Roberta Pitre, Diane Pitre and Shirley Pitre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Pitre and Margie White Pitre; and a brother, Roland Pitre. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments. ======================
